Benton Habitat for Humanity invites the community to participate in its annual Hope Builder fundraiser on Thursday, Aug. 5, the organization announced. Benton Habitat for Humanity was founded in 1991 and is celebrating its 30th year.

The virtual event, which runs on that date from noon to 12:45 p.m., will include commentary from a current partner family, a repair client and volunteers. The guest speaker will be Oregon State Director of Beyond Football and former Beaver All-American kicker, Alexis Serna.

To attend, RSVP at this link.

Organizers said that while there is no obligation to donate during the event, it does represent an opportunity for a matching gift. The first $5,000 donated at the event will be matched by 1-to-1 by G. Christianson Construction.

Benton Habitat, the local affiliate of Habitat for Humanity, has worked alongside several families to build homes in Philomath, Corvallis and other areas of the county.
