The event begins each day at 7 a.m. with registration.
The range features 50 3D targets and new trails. There will be a “Shoot the Buffalo” contest (100-plus yards) with the best shot each day getting half of the pot. A kids prize shoot is planned for Saturday at 1 p.m. In addition, participants can enter to win a handmade longbow from a local bowyer and Oregon State Beavers gear.
Shooting fees for one day are $20 for adults, $40 for family and $10 for youth ages 12-17. For both days, the fees are $30 for adults, $60 for family and $15 for youth. Kids ages 11 and under are free.
To get to the range, head out of Philomath on Highway 20 and take a right onto Kings Valley Highway (223) and then after 1 mile another right onto Cardwell Hill Road. After just over another mile, go left onto Blakesley Creek Road and continue for 1.6 miles to the range, which has an address of 35876 Blakesley Creek Road.
