SATURDAY, AUG. 3
• 9 a.m. — BCSO arrested a 38-year-old Eugene man at the Salmonberry Campground in rural Benton County on two warrants out of Lane County for probation violation.
SUNDAY, AUG. 4
• 1:55 p.m. — BCSO recovered a vehicle reported as stolen after making a traffic stop on Highway 20 and Davis Road about 8 miles west of Philomath. After a lengthy investigation, no arrests were made and the vehicle, a 2007 Nissan Murano, was towed to a tow yard in Corvallis where it was to be released to the registered owner, a 53-year-old Portland woman. It was determined that the situation was a civil issue.
TUESDAY, AUG. 6
• 1:59 p.m. — BCSO responded to a report of trespassing at a location on Gellatly Way. The situation involved a 29-year-old Philomath woman who reportedly has trespassed multiple times and hopped a back fence to reach her residence despite requests by two landowners to quit coming onto their respective properties.
WEDNESDAY, AUG. 7
• 8:40 a.m. — BCSO responded to a report of assault at Salmonberry Campground in rural Benton County. A juvenile, age and city of residence not reported, was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of fourth-degree assault and transported to the Linn-Benton Juvenile Detention Center in Albany.
THURSDAY, AUG. 8
• 7:59 p.m. — BCSO arrested a 43-year-old Albany man on a warrant for parole violation at the Benton County Fairgrounds. According to the report, the Philomath Police Department had responded to an attempted shoplifting incident at Dollar General in Philomath and the suspects left in a vehicle, which was later found at the fairgrounds.
SUNDAY, AUG. 11
• 10:41 p.m. — BCSO arrested a 55-year-old Philomath man on a warrant during a traffic stop on Highway 20 about 3 miles west of Blodgett. The man, who was a passenger in the vehicle that was pulled over, was issued a criminal citation in lieu of custody. The driver, a 34-year-old Albany woman, was issued violation citations.
