FRIDAY, JUNE 27

• 7:26 p.m. — BCSO responded to a report of theft from a truck parked next to Kings Valley School. The victim, a 57-year-old Corvallis man, stated multiple items worth $640 were taken, including tools with an estimated value of $450.

WEDNESDAY, JULY 2

• 12:53 p.m. — BCSO responded to a report of felony-level fraud involving the use of a 74-year-old Philomath man’s credit card. According to a report, the victim reported that someone had been using his credit card and had spent approximately $20,000. The victim stated that he would email documents to the deputy but they were never received. The deputy reported that he attempted to contact the victim via phone call, left a voicemail and never heard back. As a result, the case was discontinued due to lack of victim cooperation.

WEDNESDAY, JULY 16

• 8:26 p.m. — BCSO arrested a 48-year-old Eugene man on a misdemeanor charge of driving under the influence of intoxicants (drugs) during a traffic stop for speeding on Highway 20 near Blodgett. The man was transported to Benton County Jail.

FRIDAY, JULY 18

• 4:42 p.m. — BCSO responded to a report of theft from a residence on Hawk Hill Road. The victim, a 25-year-old Philomath man, said that his sister had taken two bags of recyclable cans out of his garage and turned them in for $10. The deputy advised the pair to work out the issue as a family.

TUESDAY, JULY 22

• 2:25 a.m. — BCSO arrested a 30-year-old Blodgett man on a misdemeanor charge of driving while suspended during a traffic stop at the intersection of West Hills Road and Southwest Reservoir Avenue. The man was cited and released.

WEDNESDAY, JULY 23

• 2:34 p.m. — BCSO responded to a report of a convicted felon who had been in possession of a firearm. A resident on Fern Road reported to the sheriff’s office that the 36-year-old man, who is believed to now be living in California, had moved out of her residence and left behind a .22-caliber rifle. The firearm was seized and entered into evidence.
