SUNDAY, AUG. 11

• 2:13 p.m. — BCSO responded to a report of theft from a property on Horse Farm Lane south of Philomath. The victim reported that three bows and 18 arrows with an estimated value of $575 were stolen. The bow and arrows had been left unattended when someone drove by and stole them, according to the report.

• 7:13 p.m. — BCSO responded to a two-vehicle crash in the 22800 block of Harris Road. No injuries were reported. According to a report, an 18-year-old Philomath man was headed west on a gravel portion of Harris Road at a speed too fast for conditions when a 24-year-old Portsmouth, Virginia, man pulled from a driveway directly in front of the other vehicle. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.

TUESDAY, AUG. 13

• 8:36 p.m. — BCSO responded to a one-vehicle crash on Highway 20 about 2 miles east of Blodgett. The driver, a 63-year-old Newport man, was transported with minor injuries to Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis for evaluation. According to a report, the motorist in a 2015 BMW X5 struck a bear that ran across the road in front of him. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

FRIDAY, AUG. 16

• 2:45 p.m. — BCSO responded to a report of mail theft from a residence on Fern Road. The package in question had a value of $150.
