THURSDAY, APRIL 10
• 12:34 a.m. — BCSO arrested a 37-year-old Waldport woman who was a passenger in a vehicle that had been pulled over on South Eighth Street in Philomath. The woman had an active warrant from Lincoln County for unlawful possession of a stolen vehicle. The woman was issued a citation in lieu of custody.
SATURDAY, APRIL 26
• 12:35 a.m. — BCSO responded to the scene of what was suspected to be a crash on Marys River Road northeast of Summit. An investigation determined that the driver of a Ford F-350, a 20-year-old Eddyville man, had gone off the road while attempting to negotiate a curve. The road and an adjacent drainage ditch were damaged. The driver left the scene without reporting it and he was later arrested on charges of reckless driving, failure to perform the duties of a driver, second-degree criminal mischief with crime damage and second-degree disorderly conduct.
• 9:28 a.m. — BCSO responded to a report of a single-vehicle rollover crash on Highway 34 west of Alsea involving a 39-year-old Alsea man driving an Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife truck transporting a tank full of fish. During the crash, the tank tipped over and fish ended up all over the highway. No injuries were reported. The Oregon Department of Transportation directed traffic, the truck was towed from an embankment and ODFW later collected the fish.
WEDNESDAY, APRIL 30
• 5:38 p.m. — BCSO responded to a single-vehicle crash on Price Creek Road near Kings Valley Highway involving a Dodge Ram that went into a ditch. Law enforcement received a call that the driver, a 76-year-old Monmouth man, was possibly intoxicated based on the observation that he was having balance issues. Upon arrival, the reporting deputy said several neighbors were attempting to pull the man’s vehicle out of the ditch. After questioning, it was determined that the driver has a medical issue, possibly deteriorating vision, that may have contributed to him driving off the road. The Dodge was not damaged and a driver evaluation request was sent to the Department of Motor Vehicles.
FRIDAY, MAY 2
• 1:20 a.m. — BCSO responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence on Kings Valley Highway about a half of a mile north of the Highway 20 intersection that led to the arrest of a 36-year-old Philomath woman on a misdemeanor charge of harassment with physical contact. The woman was transported to Benton County Jail.
WEDNESDAY, MAY 7
• 7:40 p.m. — BCSO responded to a Kings Valley resident who reported that for the third time over the past year, guns had been fired toward the person’s property from vehicles on Kings Valley Highway.
