SATURDAY, AUG. 16

• 9:15 p.m. — BCSO arrested a 45-year-old Philomath man on misdemeanor charges of driving under the influence of intoxicants (drugs) and reckless driving during a traffic stop on Highway 34 near Foxglove Lane. The jail was full and the man was issued citations in lieu of custody and released to a family member. The motorist had been pulled over originally for driving 86 mph in a 55-mph zone.

• 10:42 p.m. — BCSO arrested a 25-year-old Lebanon man on misdemeanor charges of driving under the influence of intoxicants and reckless driving during a traffic stop on Highway 20 near Blodgett. The motorist had been pulled over originally for driving 88 mph in a 55-mph zone.

MONDAY, AUG. 18

• 8:21 p.m. — BCSO responded to a report of possible burglary at a Llewellyn Road property south of Philomath. The victim, a 40-year-old Corvallis man, said someone had kicked in his shop door and planned to investigate the next day to see what items were missing.

THURSDAY, AUG. 21

• 12:30 a.m. — BCSO arrested Amber Dawn Alvarado, 39, of Siletz, on two warrants and was later booked on two felony counts of identity theft and misdemeanor charges of giving false information to a peace officer, felon in possession of a restricted weapon, tampering with physical evidence, second-degree criminal trespass, unlawful possession of methamphetamine and unlawful possession of fentanyl. According to an incident report, Alvarado was found in Ellmaker State Park in Lincoln County after it had been closed to the public. She 

FRIDAY, AUG. 22

• 6:50 a.m. — BCSO responded to a single-vehicle crash on Highway 34 about 2 miles west of Alsea involving a Chevrolet Silverado that hit an elk. The driver, a 47-year-old Springfield man, was reportedly not injured. The elk ran off.
