TUESDAY, AUG. 18
• 9:17 a.m. — BCSO responded to a report of a dog bite in the 2300 block of Gallatley Way. According to an incident report, a woman said the dog she was walking on a leash was bitten by another leashed dog and needed veterinary care.
• 11:30 p.m. — BCSO arrested a 41-year-old Yachats man on a Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for failure to comply with a driving-while-suspended violation following a traffic stop for speeding on Highway 20 about 3 miles west of Blodgett. According to an incident report, the man was riding a motorcycle 71 mph in a posted 55-mph zone and told the deputy he had not held a license since he was 21. He was cited for the warrant, the speed violation and driving while suspended. His girlfriend, a 42-year-old Yachats woman who owned the motorcycle, was cited for permitting its unlawful use.
FRIDAY, AUG. 21
• 2:12 p.m. — BCSO arrested Kory Ken Ives, 65, of Keizer, on a Class C felony charge of third-degree assault and misdemeanor charges of driving under the influence of intoxicants, reckless driving and reckless endangering following a single-vehicle rollover crash on Marys Peak Road near milepost 5. According to an incident report, Ives was transported to a hospital, where his blood was seized under a search warrant.
• 9:31 p.m. — BCSO arrested a 45-year-old man on charges of driving under the influence of intoxicants (alcohol .08 through .14), reckless driving and failure to perform the duties of a driver following a non-injury crash on Kings Valley Highway and Labare Road. According to an incident report, he was issued a criminal citation in lieu of custody and released.
SATURDAY, AUG. 22
• 9:11 a.m. — BCSO responded to a report of a stray dog on Highway 34. According to an incident report, a Philomath woman said the yellow Labrador wandered onto her property without a collar. Deputies transported the dog to Heartland Humane Society.
