SATURDAY, JULY 25

• 10:20 a.m. — BCSO responded to a report of a theft at a residence on Kings Valley Highway. According to an incident report, a 32-year-old Kings Valley man said his juvenile nephew had stolen his phone and used it to make an unauthorized purchase through Amazon. The case was cleared Aug. 4 with a criminal citation issued to the juvenile for third-degree theft.

SATURDAY, AUG. 1

• 11:55 p.m. — BCSO arrested a 46-year-old Philomath man at his home on North 11th Street on a misdemeanor Benton County Circuit Court warrant. He was cited and released.

SUNDAY, AUG. 2

• 12:10 a.m. — BCSO responded to a report of a semitruck crash on Highway 20 near Blitz Lane in Blodgett. According to an incident report, a 57-year-old Sacramento man’s semitruck left the roadway after he fell asleep at the wheel, then overcorrected and struck a guardrail, blocking both lanes of the highway after flipping over on its side. A 62-year-old Eugene man driving a Nissan Altima failed to see the crashed truck and struck it. Neither driver was seriously injured and neither was impaired, BCSO reported.

• 6:50 p.m. — BCSO arrested a 62-year-old Lebanon man on charges of driving under the influence of intoxicants (under. 08), reckless driving and reckless endangerment following a traffic stop. According to an incident report, the man had slurred speech and bloodshot eyes and denied drinking despite the smell of alcohol on his breath. He was transported to the Philomath Police Department, where he provided a breath sample.

WEDNESDAY, AUG. 5

• 7:50 a.m. — BCSO assisted Philomath Fire and Rescue with an unconscious man found in a truck near North Ninth Street and West Hills Road. A 49-year-old Philomath man was arrested on charges of driving under the influence of intoxicants (alcohol .15 through .19) and driving while suspended. He was cited and released to a sober person.

• 5:30 p.m. — BCSO responded to a report of trespassing on Luckiamute Road. A man who lives on the property said someone was on the land and left after being confronted.

THURSDAY, AUG. 6

• Time NA — BCSO took a report from a 79-year-old Blodgett man who said Apple had notified him that his Apple ID was used in an attempted purchase from Russia.

FRIDAY, AUG. 7

• 9:40 p.m. — BCSO arrested a 52-year-old Philomath woman on a Lebanon Municipal Court warrant during a traffic stop on Applegate Street. She was issued a new court date in lieu of custody.

MONDAY, AUG. 10

• 12:30 a.m. — BCSO responded to a single-vehicle crash on Highway 34 about 7 miles south of the Highway 20 intersection. According to an incident report, a 25-year-old Salem man slid off the roadway and down an embankment after taking a corner too fast. He had minor injuries but declined transport to a hospital and was not impaired, BCSO reported.
