SATURDAY, AUG. 29
• 2:45 p.m. — A 59-year-old Willamina woman was cited for no front plate, driving while suspended and no insurance during a traffic stop on Highway 20 near milepost 43, about 7 miles west of Philomath. She was also issued a criminal citation for a Lincoln County warrant in lieu of custody.
WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 2
• 10:50 a.m. — A 48-year-old Albany woman’s car was towed after she swerved to avoid a deer and crashed on Highway 34 near milepost 55, about 3 miles southwest of the highway’s junction with Highway 20. She was reportedly not injured.
THURSDAY, SEPT. 3
• 5:49 a.m. — A 47-year-old Newport man was cited for careless driving after failing to yield to emergency signals on Highway 20 near Marys River Estates Road. He will be required to complete a driver re-test with the Oregon Department of Motor Vehicles.
FRIDAY, SEPT. 4
• 7:52 a.m. — A Philomath woman reported the theft of a package valued at $219 from her porch in the 31600 block of Sexton Road.
• 8:48 a.m. — A Philomath woman reported a fraud in the 2500 block of West Hills Road.
SUNDAY, SEPT. 6
• 8:06 a.m. — A 45-year-old Philomath man’s SUV rolled onto its side after he swerved to avoid deer on West Hills Road near Rosecrest Drive. He was wearing his seatbelt and was not injured. The passenger-side airbags deployed.
