SUNDAY, JUNE 22
• 11:44 a.m. — BCSO responded to a report from an angler on Bundy Drive near a bridge over the Long Tom River, a location roughly 18 miles southeast of Philomath and 7 miles northeast of Monroe, who believed she had found a human bone. A sergeant and deputy responded to the call and determined that the bone that had been found was not human and belonged to a smaller animal.
• 7:37 p.m. — BCSO responded to a report of theft from a 22-year-old Corvallis man at a residence on Stovall Lane. The person reporting the crime believed a friend had stolen the wallet for a Venmo dispute. A deputy collected the wallet and returned it to the victim. No criminal charges were filed.
• 10:17 p.m. — BCSO responded to a report of a one-vehicle crash on Highway 20 near Davis Road involving an Audi that had collided with an elk. The driver, a 20-year-old man, stated that he was not injured. The vehicle was towed and the driver provided with a courtesy ride home.
