SUNDAY, OCT. 5
• 9:47 a.m. — BCSO responded to a report of harassment at a residence on Highway 20 near Philomath involving a rude comment on a Facebook post. A screenshot of the post was logged into evidence.
TUESDAY, OCT. 14
• 4:39 p.m. — BCSO responded to a report of a vehicle fire on Highway 34 near Bevens Park Lane involving a Ford F-150. According to an incident report, beekeepers left a smoke pot smoldering in the bed of the truck after leaving Lincoln County. The smoke pot caught fire and ignited gas cans. The truck pulled off to the side of the road and became fully engulfed in flames. Philomath Fire and Rescue extinguished the fire and the vehicle was towed from the scene. No injuries were reported.
WEDNESDAY, OCT. 22
• 7:23 a.m. — BCSO responded to a report of a single-vehicle rollover crash with property damage on Decker Road east of Peterson Road. The property owner, a 49-year-old Philomath man, reported that the vehicle was unoccupied and had damaged two filbert trees. According to an incident report, the pickup had been westbound on Decker Road and failed to negotiate a lefthand turn. The truck struck a warning sign and a Pioneer telephone junction box before rolling over onto its top in an orchard. The vehicle’s registered owner, a 21-year-old Albany man, was contacted and he said the pickup had been stolen sometime overnight.
SATURDAY, OCT. 25
• 9 a.m. — BCSO responded to a report of an abandoned vehicle in the area of Starr Creek Road and Bellfountain Road. The responding deputy found a 1996 Subaru Legacy station wagon in a ditch off a Hull-Oakes spur road. The owner, a 38-year-old Lebanon man, said the vehicle went into the ditch while he was mushroom hunting. The man claimed that he would retrieve the vehicle.
