TUESDAY, DEC. 17

• 7:15 a.m. — BCSO arrested a 53-year-old Philomath woman at her Maxfield Creek Road residence on warrants for contempt of court, failure to appear on a criminal citation, failure to appear on an ordinance violation, probation violation and two counts of failure to appear on a bench warrant. New court dates were determined and the woman was released.

SUNDAY, DEC. 22

• 11:59 a.m. — BCSO responded to a report of two dogs that were at a residence on Evergreen Road. The dogs were transported to Heartland Humane Shelter and Care in Corvallis.

WEDNESDAY, DEC. 25

• 1:35 p.m. — BCSO reported the discovery of an offensive littering site along South Fork Road near milepost 3 on Hull-Oakes Lumber Co., property in the Alsea vicinity involving an old living room recliner.

• 4:25 p.m. — BCSO reported the discovery of an offensive littering site along Yew Creek Road approximately one-fourth of a mile from Marys Peak Road on Bureau of Land Management property involving a couch and other debris.

THURSDAY, DEC. 26

• 9:31 a.m. — BCSO reported the discovery of a series of offensive littering sites up a spur road north of South Fork Road on Starker Forests and Bureau of Land Management properties. One site consisted of an old squatter’s camp with large trash cans in a creek. The other site included two couches and around five mattresses lying in a creek, along with other types of debris, including tires.

• 11:30 a.m. — BCSO responded to a crash on Woods Creek Road near milepost 1.1 with a vehicle driven by a 26-year-old Corvallis man sustaining heavy damage in a rollover. No injuries were reported.

• 4:30 p.m. — BCSO responded to a crash on Kings Valley Highway north of Tatum Lane with a 2002 Toyota Sequoia driven by a 44-year-old Toledo man on its side in the westbound lane. No injuries were reported. The driver was cited for driving while suspended.

SUNDAY, DEC. 29

• 7:13 p.m. — BCSO responded to a report of drones flying in the Blodgett area with the possibility that hunters were attempting to locate elk. The area was searched and no drones nor hunters were located.

MONDAY, DEC. 30

• 1:18 p.m. — BCSO arrested Joshua Martin Hughes, 22, of Sweet Home, on a warrant for probation violation and on a felony charge of fleeing or attempting to elude law enforcement during a traffic stop on Hoskins Road near Marys River Road. Hughes was transported to Linn County Jail.

TUESDAY, DEC. 31

• 11:40 a.m. — BCSO responded to a single-vehicle crash at the intersection of Fern Road and Grange Hall Road with a 2022 Chevrolet Spark driven by a 20-year-old Eugene woman hitting a guardrail. It was determined that the driver had taken a turn onto Grange Hall Road from Fern Road at too high of a speed. Minor injuries were reported.

SUNDAY, JAN. 5

• 2:37 a.m. — BCSO responded to a vehicle-animal crash on Highway 20 near Blodgett involving an ambulance transporting a patient. The ambulance, driven by a 31-year-old Philomath man, struck an elk. No injuries were reported. The elk was removed from the highway and the ambulance was towed from the site.
