The Benton County Historical Society announced Monday that an anonymous match of $90,000 has been offered for its endowment fundraising campaign, which is underway and runs through March 15.
BCHS particularly encourages IRA rollover gifts, also known as qualified charitable distributions.
“Gifts to the endowment are particularly important now, as the society is hoping to grow the endowment to ensure financial stability for the future of the organization and the museums they operate,” BCHS Executive Director Jessica Hougen said in a press release. “This match gives all donors a chance to maximize the impact of their gift.”
The society operates the Philomath Museum and the recently-opened Corvallis Museum.
