Alyrica Networks was recently approved as a provider for the Oregon Lifeline Program, a federal and state initiative designed to make high-speed internet more accessible and affordable for low-income households.

“We are excited to join this program, which allows us to extend our commitment to providing affordable high-speed internet to more households,” Alyrica’s chief executive officer, Sam Dotson, said through a press release. “We appreciate the efforts of the state of Oregon and the Public Utilities Commission in making this program possible.”

Lifeline offers a monthly discount of up to $19.25 on high-speed internet service for eligible low-income households. The program replaced the recently concluded Affordable Connectivity Program and provides financial assistance to those in need.

Eligibility includes households with incomes at or below 135% of federal poverty guidelines or those receiving benefits such as SNAP, Medicaid and Supplemental Security Income.
