The Philomath Inclusivity Committee plans to launch a discussion at its Feb. 27 meeting on age-friendly communities with topics that include affordable housing, jobs, transportation, health and environment for a population that is predicted to continue growing older in the next 25 years. The Tuesday meeting is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m.

March is designated as Women’s History Month and the committee will continue its efforts to approve a recommended proclamation to be advanced to the City Council and finalize a banner design.

Plans for a Philomath Pride event on June 15 will also be discussed.

Also on the agenda, the committee plans to review Black History Month events, discuss an inclusivity proclamation and take a look at its heritage celebration and awareness banners.
