Freshmen Sarah Robertson and Addison Liddell each earned medals at Saturday’s Junction City Girls Invitational.
Robertson, competing at 135 pounds, had pins in all four of her victories, including in the third-place match when she defeated Willamette’s Mariana Santiago in 3 minutes. Her one loss came in the semifinals to the eventual champion, Shyla Sells of Mazama.
Liddell’s three wins all came on first-period pins. In the third-place match, she came up short against Willamina’s Emma Brunner to place fourth.
Tillamook won the 19-school tournament in a competitive field with the top five schools all finishing within 13 points of each other.
Philomath’s next competition is scheduled for Jan. 9 at the Benton County Championships.
