The Philomath School District will host back-to-school open house events Wednesday, Superintendent of Schools Susan Halliday announced.
The various campuses will have open houses on a staggered schedule to accommodate parents.
“It allows families with kids in multiple settings to be able to go to multiple schools but only have to come out on one night,” Halliday said. “It also allows our staff members with children to go to other schools to be able to go be a part of their own child’s school.”
Blodgett Elementary School’s open house will run from 2:30-4 p.m. and both Clemens Primary School and Philomath Elementary School will have their events from 4:30-6 p.m.
At Philomath Middle School, the open house runs from 5:30-7 p.m. In addition, there will be a child abuse and neglect reporting activity for all families in the Philomath Middle School counseling center. A meeting about Sixth Grade Outdoor School will go from 6-6:30 p.m. in the PMS gym.
The Philomath High School open house will run from 6:45-8:15 p.m. with a schedule that includes a 10-minute initial introduction in the auditorium followed by 10 minutes in each classroom following the student’s schedule. All classrooms will be open for questions.
The Philomath Academy open house is scheduled to go from 4-5:30 p.m.
