People arrested or suspected of crimes are considered innocent until proven otherwise.

FRIDAY, APRIL 24

• 9:52 a.m. — Police responded to an animal complaint in the 400 block of South 19th Street involving a rooster crowing in the city limits. A check showed no chicken permit on file for the address. The homeowner said she had received free baby chicks and some turned out to be roosters, which she is working to rehome. The officer advised her that a city permit is required to keep chickens. The woman planned to contact the city.

Other calls: Police responses included a civil dispute at 9:59 a.m. (Quail Glenn Drive), juvenile complaint at 3:55 p.m. (Philomath City Park) and threats involving juveniles at 4:20 p.m. (Philomath City Park). PPD reported four traffic stops.

SATURDAY, APRIL 25

• 5:31 p.m. — Police arrested a 63-year-old Eugene man on misdemeanor charges of driving under the influence of intoxicants (blood alcohol content of .15 through .19), reckless driving and failure to perform the duties of a driver during a traffic stop at Highway 20 and Mustang Lane.

Other calls: Police responses included a request for a drug recognition expert at 12:49 a.m. (Northwest Fifth Street, Corvallis), repossessed vehicle at 2:05 p.m. (North 12th Street) and a welfare check at 2:08 p.m. (Vincent Street). PPD reported seven traffic stops.

SUNDAY, APRIL 26

• No calls of significance were reported.

Other calls: Police responses included a dog barking at 11:27 p.m. (South 17th Street). PPD reported four traffic stops.

MONDAY, APRIL 27

• 9:54 p.m. — Police responded to a report of theft in the 700 block of Main Street. An investigation determined the case to be a civil matter, not criminal.

Other calls: Police responses included a juvenile complaint at 4:50 p.m. (Applegate Street), private property tow at 8:28 p.m. (Main Street) and checking unsecured premises at 10:54 p.m. (Pioneer Street). PPD reported no traffic stops.

TUESDAY, APRIL 28

• 8:10 a.m. — Police arrested a 23-year-old Philomath woman on misdemeanor charges of harassment and third-degree criminal mischief following an incident in the 2400 block of Newton Street. The woman was issued a citation in lieu of custody.

• 3:59 p.m. — Police responded to a report of theft in the 3100 block of Main Street involving $600 stolen from a home with no known suspects.

• 4:03 p.m. — Police responded to a two-vehicle crash in the 2300 block of Main Street. No injuries were reported.

Other calls: Police responses included a telephone harassment issue at 2:38 p.m. (North 19th Street), reported violation of an order at 4:01 p.m. (North Eighth Street) and a report of harassment at 8:04 p.m. (Main Street). PPD reported no traffic stops.

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 29

• No calls of significance were reported.

Other calls: Police responses included a report of a suspicious vehicle at 11:27 a.m. (Marlon Place), citizen assistance at 2:42 p.m. (Applegate Street) and a non-911 issue at 11:02 p.m. (Applegate Street). PPD reported two traffic stops.

THURSDAY, APRIL 30

• No calls of significance were reported.

Other calls: Police responses included a bicycle traffic issue at 2:46 p.m. (Marlon Street and James Street). PPD reported four traffic stops.
