Editor’s note: This report is based on information submitted by the Philomath Police Department. All calls for service may not be included. The status of incidents might change after further investigation. Locations are approximate and may not be included if it could identify victims of certain crimes of a sensitive nature (sexual abuse, stalking, etc.). Individuals are identified in the log only if arrested on felony charges. Calls that involve the Department of Human Services and minor children are not included. Juveniles are not identified. People arrested or suspected of crimes are considered innocent until proven otherwise.

FRIDAY, APRIL 17

• 8:49 a.m. — Police arrested a 44-year-old Lebanon man on a warrant out of Philomath Municipal Court after he turned himself in at the Philomath Police Department. The man was issued a new court date.

• 4:13 p.m. — Police arrested a 43-year-old Philomath man on Southwest Philomath Boulevard in Corvallis on a misdemeanor charge of second-degree criminal mischief with crime damage following an incident in the 1800 block of College Street. The man was also charged with an additional misdemeanor charge of third-degree criminal mischief in connection with an April 16 disorderly conduct incident at the same location. He was also arrested for probation violation. In addition, a 39-year-old woman and a 40-year-old woman, cities of residence not reported, were arrested on misdemeanor charges of second-degree criminal mischief with crime damage.

Other calls: Police responses included a welfare check at 12:15 p.m. (Main Street). PPD reported two traffic stops.

SATURDAY, APRIL 18

• No calls of significance were reported.

Other calls: Police responses included a report of a suspicious person at 1:02 a.m. (Main Street), citizen contact at 5:05 p.m. (North 11th Street) and citizen contact at 5:14 p.m. (North 10th Street and Main Street). PPD reported four traffic stops.

SUNDAY, APRIL 19

• No calls of significance were reported.

Other calls: Police responses included a possible suicidal subject at 9:36 p.m. PPD reported 10 traffic stops.

MONDAY, APRIL 20

• No calls of significance were reported.

Other calls: Police responses included a mental health situation at 4:45 a.m. (North 15th Street), dog returned to owner at 8:33 a.m. (Applegate Street and South 15th Street), shoplifting investigation at 8:50 a.m. (Main Street), man yelling in a parking lot at 12:19 p.m. (Applegate Street), event detail at 1:23 p.m. (Applegate Street) and a verbal argument at 9:51 p.m. (North 19th Street). PPD reported two traffic stops.

TUESDAY, APRIL 21

• No calls of significance were reported.

Other calls: Police responses included a suspicious circumstance at 2:03 a.m. (Applegate Street), abandoned vehicle at 3:34 p.m. (College Street and North 17th Street), suspicious person at 5:36 p.m. (Applegate Street) and a non-911 issue at 7:19 p.m. (Benton View Drive). PPD reported three traffic stops.

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 22

• 1:51 p.m. — Police responded to a question from a caller on Pioneer Street who asked if he could leave a trailer on the street to be towed by the city. Police advised the caller that was not an option.

Other calls: Police responses included a report of juveniles riding dirtbikes without helmets at 5:01 p.m. (Houser Lane), issue between juveniles at 8:45 p.m. (Chapel Drive) and a suspicious circumstance at 9:01 p.m. (Applegate Street). PPD reported four traffic stops.

THURSDAY, APRIL 23

• 1:03 p.m. — Police responded to a report of a vehicle off the side of the road in the 300 block of Marlon Place with a woman inside who appeared to be either sleeping or unconscious and learned she was taking a nap.

Other calls: Police responses included a welfare check at 10:10 a.m. (Main Street) and a parking complaint at 2:15 p.m. (Main Street and North Eighth Street). In addition, police assisted another agency on a call at 8:18 p.m. (Highway 20 near Blodgett). PPD reported one traffic stop.
