In a Stacker story published Tuesday, the “Most Expensive Homes in Corvallis” were listed with 30 homes featured ranging in price from $840,000 to $3.2 million. Of course, I immediately had the thought, well, what about Philomath?

So, for this edition of the Philomath 5, I’m not going to go 30 deep but will list the five highest-priced homes on the local market (as of May 21). As Stacker used in its listing, the prices are based on what could be found on Realtor.com and homes are ranked by price with ties broken by price per square foot.

The homes are presented here in reverse order counting down to the highest priced.
