Rock Ridge, a bluegrass band based out of Sisters, plans to play on the Marys River Grange Hall stage on Wednesday, April 10, organizer Yvonne McMillan announced.

The concert is scheduled for 7 to 10 p.m. Tickets ($7 adults, $5 youth) will be sold at the door. McMillan said concessions with simple nonalcoholic drinks and snacks will be available for purchase.

According to the group’s website, the band “specializes in bluesy vocal-based deep-groove bluegrass music with a solid traditional approach.” Rock Ridge performs traditional and contemporary bluegrass with original material as well as traditional country duets.

Rock Ridge features Josie Grant (guitar and vocals), Dale Adkins (banjo, guitar and vocals), Josh Adkins (mandolin and vocals) and Suzanne Adkins (bass and vocals).

The group released its second album in February 2023 entitled, “The Flood.” Rock Ridge’s debut album was “Drifter’s Prayer.”

Prior to visiting Philomath, the band’s current tour includes stops April 5 in Longview, Washington, April 6 in Long Beach, Washington, April 7 in Portland and April 9 in Eugene. After the Marys River Grange gig, the group will take a break from touring before participating in the Sacajawea Bluegrass Festival June 7-9 in Pasco, Washington.

McMillan said funds raised from ticket sales go to support the band and Marys River Grange.

Marys River Grange Hall is located at 24707 Grange Hall Road. Parking is limited (organizers recommend carpooling). No alcohol is allowed.
