The Philomath School Board plans to meet at 7 p.m. Thursday in the high school’s community conference room with an agenda that includes a possible vote on the district’s objectives for the current academic year.
The board is also expected to vote on a revised Linn Benton Lincoln Education Service District plan for 2025-27, a policy related to graduation requirements and a proposed 2026-27 budget calendar.
Strategy and discussion items on the agenda include Clemens Community Pool and Next Steps Preschool updates, the state’s proposed elimination of the Local Option Equalization Grant, reviews of the board’s meeting schedule and a resolution on the rights of undocumented students. Items about a legislative breakfast and participation in the city’s community visioning efforts are also included.
Also at the meeting, time is set aside for reports from the superintendent, business manager, student government and employee associations. Citizens can address the board during a public comment period that occurs near the beginning of the meeting.
The PHS community conference room is located to the right inside the high school’s front entrance. Meetings are also streamed on the school district’s YouTube channel.
