The Philomath Rotary Club will host a presentation on emergency management and preparedness at its Tuesday, Feb. 17 meeting at Peace Lutheran Church.

Bryan Lee, emergency manager for the Benton County Sheriff’s Office, will deliver the main presentation, “Emergency Management Overview and Emergency Preparedness.” The program aims to help attendees better understand the scope of emergency management functions in Benton County and clarify individual roles in community preparedness and resilience.

Participants will also learn about additional opportunities to engage directly in emergency preparedness training and readiness programs.

The meeting will begin at noon at Peace Lutheran Church (2540 Applegate St.) in Philomath. In addition to Lee’s presentation, the meeting will include the Philomath Middle School “Student of the Month” award presentation.

The event is open to all Rotarians and community members. Lunch will be provided for attendees.

Those planning to attend are asked to RSVP to rotaryfred@hotmail.com to help organizers plan for the appropriate number of meals.
