Individuals are identified in the log only if arrested on felony charges. Calls that involve the Department of Human Services and minor children are not included. Juveniles are not identified. People arrested or suspected of crimes are considered innocent until proven otherwise.
FRIDAY, JAN. 16
• 12:04 p.m. — Police took a report from a homeowner who was concerned that an unoccupied residence on North Ninth Street was being entered. The residence was found to be vacant with doors and windows secured.
• 4:35 p.m. — Police responded to a report of a two-vehicle crash at Main Street and North 13th Street. Individuals in both vehicles complained of pain and were medically assessed by Philomath Fire and Rescue but declined transportation to the hospital. The vehicles were towed from the scene.
Other calls: Police responses included an abandoned vehicle tagged for towing at 12:18 p.m. (Pioneer Street), unknown problem at 4:37 p.m. (South 13th Street), extra patrol at 8:19 p.m. (North 14th Street and an abandoned vehicle tagged for towing at 9:25 p.m. (North 20th Street). PPD reported two traffic stops.
SATURDAY, JAN. 17
• 7:32 p.m. — Police arrested a 24-year-old Philomath man at Applegate Street and South 14th Street on a misdemeanor charge of violating a release agreement.
• 8:20 p.m. — Police responded to a report of a dog bite in the 800 block of North 12th Street. A woman suffered a bite on her right leg and was treated for the injury at Samaritan Albany General Hospital.
Other calls: Police responses included a welfare check at 9:47 p.m. (South 19th Street). In addition, police assisted another agency at 3:38 a.m. (Southwest Reservoir Avenue and Southwest West Hills Road). PPD reported two traffic stops.
SUNDAY, JAN. 18
• 12:34 p.m. — Police responded to a report of a milkshake being thrown at a vehicle in the 600 block of Main Street. Police were unable to contact the caller.
• 4:42 p.m. — Police arrested a 65-year-old Corvallis man in the 100 block of North 14th Street on a warrant for failure to appear in court on a criminal citation
Other calls: Police responses included a dead deer in the roadway at 1:14 a.m. (West Hills Road and Southwest Reservoir Avenue), event detail at 2:02 p.m. (Applegate Street), welfare check at 6:29 p.m. (Newton Street) and citizen contact at 11:02 p.m. (South 11th Street). PPD reported six traffic stops.
MONDAY, JAN. 19
• 1:18 p.m. — Police assisted at the scene of a motorcycle crash on Fern Road near Powder House Road. The operator and a passenger were transported to Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center with injuries.
• 1:58 p.m. — Police arrested a 34-year-old Philomath woman on a misdemeanor charge of violating a no-contact agreement.
Other calls: PPD reported six traffic stops.
TUESDAY, JAN. 20
• 3:31 p.m. — Police arrested a 44-year-old Philomath man on misdemeanor charges of driving under the influence of intoxicants (drugs) and driving while suspended during a traffic stop at Main Street and South 26th Street.
Other calls: Police responses included a juvenile issue at 9:45 a.m. (South 19th Street) and a welfare check at 4:33 p.m. (Marlon Place). In addition, police assisted another agency on a call at 3:34 p.m. (Southwest Philomath Boulevard and Southwest 26th Street). PPD reported seven traffic stops.
WEDNESDAY, JAN. 21
• 5:27 p.m. — Police responded to a report of criminal mischief in the 800 block of North 12th Street involving a fence that was damaged.
Other calls: Police responses included a report of a civil dispute at 8:35 a.m. (Applegate Street), welfare check at 9:03 a.m. (Pioneer Street), vicious dog transport to Heartland Humane Society at 10:18 a.m. (North 12th Street), citizen contact at 10:42 a.m. (Main Street) and a parking complaint at 1:12 p.m. (Quail Glenn Drive). PPD reported two traffic stops.
THURSDAY, JAN. 22
• 11:21 a.m. — Police arrested a 22-year-old Philomath woman in the 1800 block of Main Street on a warrant for failure to appear in court on a criminal citation.
• 4:18 p.m. — Police responded to a report of criminal mischief in the 1700 block of Main Street involving a window that had been damaged for an unknown reason.
Other calls: Police responses included a motorhome tagged for towing at 10:05 a.m. (location not reported), possible city ordinance violation involving a fence in disrepair at 3:07 p.m. (Applegate Street), city ordinance violation for property to be cleaned up at 3:09 p.m. (Quail Glenn Drive) and a stalking complaint at 8:42 p.m. PPD reported three traffic stops.
