FRIDAY, DEC. 19
• No calls of significance were reported.
Other calls: Police responses included a parking complaint at 3:07 p.m. (Quail Glenn Drive), citizen contact at 3:27 p.m. (North 11th Street and Quail Glenn Drive) and bike traffic at 10:21 p.m. (South 12th Street and Applegate Street). PPD reported six traffic stops.
SATURDAY, DEC. 20
• No calls of significance were reported.
Other calls: Police responses included a suspicious person ringing the doorbell at 5:30 a.m. (Topaz Street), citizen contact at 10:33 a.m. (South 14th Street), dog complaint at 1:46 p.m. (North 11th Street) and juveniles ringing resident’s doorbell and running at 7:49 p.m. (location not reported). PPD reported four traffic stops.
SUNDAY, DEC. 21
• 3:12 p.m. — Police responded to the 2700 block of Main Street for a report of a past burglary. At the time of the report, the investigation was ongoing.
Other calls: Police responses included a non-911 issue at 6:38 a.m. (Adams Street), welfare check at 6:38 a.m. (Applegate Street), mental health issue at 9 a.m. (North 15th Street), lost dog at 11:01 a.m. (North 15th Street) and a city ordinance violation at 11:13 a.m. (Main Street). PPD reported 10 traffic stops.
MONDAY, DEC. 22
• 3:18 p.m. — Police responded to a report of theft of services at a church on James Street involving a woman who dumped trash and left. Police learned that the woman is associated with the church and has permission to use the dumpster.
Other calls: Police responses included a welfare check at 6:04 p.m. (Main Street), welfare check at 6:11 p.m. (Main Street), citizen assistance at 7:34 p.m. (Main Street) and a city ordinance violation at 8:01 p.m. (James Street and Newton Street). PPD reported five traffic stops.
TUESDAY, DEC. 23
• 11:36 a.m. — Police responded to a report of possible fraud involving an individual who suspected that a family member was stealing Social Security benefits.
• 12:37 p.m. — Police responded to a crash at Main Street and South 26th Street. Both vehicles were heavily damaged and towed from the scene. No injuries were reported.
Other calls: Police responses included a possible dog bite at 7:35 a.m. (South 19th Street), mental health issue at 9:26 a.m. (Applegate Street), criminal mischief involving eggs thrown at a vehicle at 5:14 p.m. (South 19th Street) and a report of a dog attacking a turkey at 9:42 p.m. (North 11th Street). PPD reported nine traffic stops.
WEDNESDAY, DEC. 24
• 11:07 a.m. — Police responded to a report of a sick raccoon walking around the neighborhood of Applegate Street and South 27th Street. Police reported seeing the animal in a field but observed it walking back into the residential area. The raccoon did not appear to be aggressive and not showing fear of humans. Police determined that the animal was possibly sick with plans to follow-up if future calls were received.
• 1:52 p.m. — Police responded to a report of a stolen bicycle in the 1900 block of Main Street. The caller’s boyfriend took the bicycle the previous evening without permission.
• 8:31 p.m. — Police arrested April Marie Fain, 31, of Philomath, in the 1800 block of Main Street on a felony warrant out of Benton County.
• 8:34 p.m. — Police responded to a crash in the 500 block of North 11th Street. No injuries were reported.
Other calls: Police responses included a child custody issue at 6:03 p.m. (Northwest Green Acres Lane, Albany) and a welfare check at 11:28 p.m. (South 15th Street). In addition, police assisted another agency on a call at 12:27 a.m. (North 12th Street and Pioneer Street). PPD reported two traffic stops.
THURSDAY, DEC. 25
• No calls of significance were reported.
Other calls: Police responses included a civil dispute at 3:47 p.m. (South 17th Street). PPD reported 11 traffic stops.
