The status of incidents might change after further investigation. Locations are approximate and may not be included if it could identify victims of certain crimes of a sensitive nature (sexual abuse, stalking, etc.). Individuals are identified in the log only if arrested on felony charges. Calls that involve the Department of Human Services and minor children are not included. Juveniles are not identified. People arrested or suspected of crimes are considered innocent until proven otherwise.

FRIDAY, MARCH 21

• 7:57 a.m. — Police responded to the 2000 block of Chapel Drive for a report of a deer that was hit by a vehicle.

• 7:28 p.m. — Police responded to a two-vehicle crash at College Street and North 19th Street. There were reportedly no injuries.

Other calls: PPD reported four traffic stops.

SATURDAY, MARCH 22

• No calls of significance were reported.

Other calls: Police assisted another agency on a call at 8:36 a.m. (Highway 20/34). PPD reported two traffic stops.

SUNDAY, MARCH 23

• Time NA — Police arrested a 39-year-old Philomath man on a charge of dog as a public nuisance in a followup to a March 18 incident involving a pit bull mix on Houser Lane that had reportedly attacked another dog that was being walked. 

Other calls: Police responses included a dog barking at 11:15 a.m. (North 13th Street). PPD reported 10 traffic stops.

MONDAY, MARCH 24

• 6:39 a.m. — Police responded to a report of a business at North 13th and Main Street with a door that was standing open. An officer ensured that nobody was inside and no evidence of forced entry was found.

• 11:48 a.m. — Police responded to Applegate Street and South 30th Street for a purple kids’ bicycle that had been found.  

Other calls: Police responses included harassment at 4:54 p.m. (South 19th Street). PPD reported five traffic stops.

TUESDAY, MARCH 25

• No calls of significance were reported.

Other calls: Police responses included a suspicious circumstance involving the security of a residence at 8:12 p.m. (South 30th Street). PPD reported nine traffic stops.

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 26

• 4:22 p.m. — Police conducted a death investigation in the 100 block of North Eighth Street.

Other calls: Police responses included a report of suspicious activity at 10:22 p.m. (South 13th Street). In addition, police assisted another agency on a call at 1:55 p.m. (South 18th Street). PPD reported 22 traffic stops.

THURSDAY, MARCH 27

• 5:29 p.m. — Police responded to the 700 block of North 12th Street for a report of vandalism to a vehicle. 

Other calls: Police responses included a suicidal subject at 10:30 a.m., parking complaint at 1:54 p.m. (South 11th Street) and a suicidal subject at 4:20 p.m. In addition, police assisted other agencies on calls at 3:01 p.m. (North 11th Street) and 3:02 p.m. (Highway 34). PPD reported 11 traffic stops.
