The Philomath City Council plans to convene in executive session at 5:30 p.m. Monday at Philomath City Hall. Councilors will begin the evening in open session for roll call and then adjourn into the closed meeting.
The executive session is authorized under state statute that allows governing bodies to meet privately to conduct deliberations with persons designated to carry on labor negotiations. No final decisions may be made during the executive session.
Following the closed meeting, the council will reconvene in public session before adjourning.
The city council’s next regular meeting is scheduled for Feb. 9.
