The Philomath Soccer Futsal Camp with high school coach Dave Ellis begins April 13 and continues on Sundays through May 18.
The camp is open to boys and girls in grades 3-12 and meets in Philomath High School’s main and auxiliary gymnasiums. Sessions are 5-6 p.m. (grades 3-5), 6:15-7:30 p.m. (grades 6-8) and 7:30-9 p.m. (grades 8-12). Eighth graders are welcome to stay to play in the late session with the high schoolers.
Futsal, an indoor soccer game developed in Brazil using a low-bounce ball intended for gym floors, features quick play and tight spaces to help develop foot skills and calm under pressure.
The cost is $40 per person. There are family discounts of $70 for two siblings and $90 for three or more.
Sessions will include speed and agility, technical instruction and playing small-sided games (4-vs-4 to 8-vs-8).
To register:
- Email the student’s name and grade to Anne.Schroeder@gmail.com.
- Bring a completed waiver form (available at this link) to the first practice.
- Bring cash or check to the first practice.
Funds raised support Philomath High’s boys soccer program.
