WEDNESDAY, NOV. 26

• 1 p.m. — Troopers responded to a two-vehicle crash on Highway 140E about 3 miles west of Dairy in Klamath County that took the lives of Kaden Shakur Moses, 24, of Klamath Falls, and Bonner Deb Conney, 52, of Klamath Falls. OSP’s preliminary investigation indicated that a westbound Honda Civic driven by a 24-year-old Klamath Falls woman entered the eastbound lane to pass other westbound vehicles. Moses was driving a westbound Cadillac CTS and also attempted to enter the eastbound lane to pass westbound vehicles and clipped the front of the Honda with the rear quarter panel of the Cadillac. The contact caused the Cadillac to lose control and it rolled down the eastbound shoulder of the highway before coming to rest on its top in an adjacent field. Moses, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle and declared deceased at the scene. Conney was also declared deceased at the scene. The Honda’s driver and two passengers, children ages 5 and 3, were reportedly uninjured.

FRIDAY, NOV. 28

• 4:35 p.m. — Troopers responded to a three-vehicle crash on Highway 551 in the vicinity of Aurora State Airport in Marion County that took the life of Danielle Maria Lightfoot, 38, of Aurora. OSP’s preliminary investigation indicated that a southbound Dodge Sprinter van driven by a 39-year-old Portland man rear-ended a southbound Hyundai Santa Fe driven by a 36-year-old Aurora man. The collision pushed the Hyundai into the northbound lane, where it was struck on the passenger side by a northbound Toyota Sienna driven by a 55-year-old Happy Valley man. Lightfoot, a passenger in the Hyundai, was declared deceased after being transported to an area hospital. The Hyundai’s driver and an 8-year-old Aurora male passenger suffered minor injuries and were transported to an area hospital. The Toyota’s driver and passengers, a 28-year-old Aurora woman and an 11-year-old Aurora boy, were transported to an area hospital with minor injuries. The Dodge’s driver was also transported to an area hospital.

MONDAY, DEC. 1

• 5:53 a.m. — Troopers responded to a vehicle-pedestrian crash on Highway 395 near Charlestown in Umatilla County that took the life of Breann Hailey Mayberry, 31, of Umatilla. OSP’s preliminary investigation indicated that Mayberry was located deceased on the northbound shoulder of the highway. Evidence at the scene led investigators to believe a white commercial vehicle was involved in the collision and had fled the scene. While still at the scene, investigators observed a white semitruck being towed down the highway. The damage to the semitruck was consistent with the scene evidence and the vehicle was seized. The operator, Timothy Alvin Brown, 66, of Yakima, Washington, was later located and arrested on a Class B felony charge of failure to perform the duties of a driver to seriously injured persons.
