THURSDAY, DEC. 11
• 5:13 a.m. — Troopers responded to a vehicle-pedestrian crash on Highway 395A near Pendleton that took the life of Tony James McCorkindale, 39, of Pendleton. OSP’s preliminary investigation indicated that McCorkindale was struck by a northbound Scion xB driven by a 37-year-old Hermiston man while crossing the highway in an unlit area. McCorkindale was declared deceased at the scene.
SATURDAY, DEC. 13
• 2:30 a.m. — Troopers responded to a two-vehicle crash on Highway 99E at the intersection with Quinaby Road NE north of Keizer that took the life of Xander Ashton Colter, 22, of Keizer. OSP’s preliminary investigation indicated that an eastbound Dodge Charger driven by Juan Santiago Sandoval, 30, of Woodburn, was stopped on Quinaby Road NE at the intersection with Highway 99E when it turned northbound onto the highway. The Dodge entered the path of Colter’s southbound Yamaha XJ650 motorcycle, causing a side-impact collision. Colter was declared deceased at the scene. Sandoval was arrested for driving under the influence of intoxicants. Impairment is considered a primary contributor to the crash.
MONDAY, DEC. 15
• 11:42 p.m. — Troopers responded to a single-vehicle crash on Highway 47 about 4 miles north of Vernonia that took the life of Todd Alan McCarthy, 60, of Vernonia. OSP’s preliminary investigation indicated that McCarthy was driving a southbound Dodge Ram when it left the roadway for unknown reasons, struck a utility pole and trees before coming to rest off the roadway. McCarthy was declared deceased at the scene.
• 11:53 p.m. — Troopers responded to a single-vehicle crash on Highway 199 about 9 miles west of Grants Pass that took the life of Kyle Dewayne King, 50, of Elgin, Texas. OSP’s preliminary investigation indicated that a southbound Ford Econoline driven by a 27-year-old Ashland man lost control of the vehicle, left the roadway and struck a utility pole. King, a passenger in the vehicle, was declared deceased after being transported to an area hospital. The Ford’s driver was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries.
TUESDAY, DEC. 16
• 5:34 p.m. — Troopers responded to a four-vehicle crash on Highway 97 about 4 miles south of Redmond that took the life of William Longhway Sargent, 79, of Bend. OSP’s preliminary investigation indicated that Sargent was driving a southbound Chrysler Pacifica when it crossed into the northbound lanes for unknown reasons and sideswiped a northbound Landrover Range Rover driven by an 18-year-old Redmond man and a Chevrolet Tahoe driven by a 25-year-old Terrebonne man before striking a northbound semitruck driven by a 61-year-old Red Bluff, California, man head-on. Sargent was declared deceased at the scene.
• 6:40 p.m. — Troopers responded to a two-vehicle crash on Highway 97 about 3 miles north of Modoc Point in Klamath County that took the life of Triston Charles Morrow, 26, of Chiloquin. OSP’s preliminary investigation indicated that a southbound Chevrolet Silverado 2500 driven by a 37-year-old Sacramento, California, man lost control, entered the northbound lane and struck Morrow’s Toyota Hilux head-on. Morrow was declared deceased at the scene. The Chevrolet’s driver and a 28-year-old Rosamond, California, man passenger suffered minor injuries. A second passenger, a 19-year-old Rancho Cordova, California, man, was reportedly uninjured.
THURSDAY, DEC. 18
• 4:44 a.m. — Troopers responded to a single-vehicle crash on Highway 99W about a half-mile west of its intersection with Highway 18 in Yamhill County that took the lives of Jackie Sue Williams, 33, of Dundee, and Skyler Wayne Goodwin, 29, of Waldport. OSP’s preliminary investigation indicated that Williams was driving a northbound Toyota Camry, passing multiple vehicles, when she lost control of the vehicle, which left the roadway on the right side. The Camry struck several trees before it came to an uncontrolled rest. Williams and Goodwin were pronounced deceased at the scene.
FRIDAY, DEC. 19
• The Oregon State Police Salem Patrol Office is asking for the public’s help to identify the suspect who stole a side-by-side vehicle and multiple items from the Oregon School for the Deaf in Salem. The stolen property is valued at approximately $50,000.
On Thursday, Dec. 18, 2025, at approximately 2:30 a.m., a male suspect entered the property and climbed through a building window. The suspect placed items on a side-by-side vehicle and then drove off the property with the stolen items.
The suspect is described as a white male adult in his mid-30s, between 5 feet, 7 inches and 6 feet tall, weighing approximately 180 to 225 pounds. He has red facial hair and was wearing an orange sweatshirt, green sweatpants with “UO Oregon” on the left leg, and a brown hat.
