SATURDAY, MARCH 14

• 5:44 p.m. — Troopers responded to a two-vehicle crash on Highway 26 near Cherryville in Clackamas County that took the life of Austin Rylee Buchholtz, 24, of Corbett. OSP’s preliminary investigation indicated that an eastbound Nissan Frontier driven by a 35-year-old Rhododendron man crossed into the westbound lane and struck a westbound Honda Accord driven by a 19-year-old Gresham woman. Buchholtz was declared deceased at the scene. The Honda’s driver and a 20-year-old Sandy man, who was a passenger, were transported to an area hospital with serious injuries. The Nissan’s driver was also transported to an area hospital with serious injuries.
