VOLUME 7, NUMBER 227
Wednesday, October 14, 2026

Good morning, Philomath.

In this newsletter, we have the first of three Q-and-A features with candidates that appear on the general election ballot. The five local residents seeking a seat on the City Council are featured today. The PHS volleyball team won in straight sets over Newport last night. The Autumn Craft Show is scheduled for Saturday at the Philomath Scout Lodge. The City Council approved a contract for an integrator. A prescribed burn might occur today on Marys Peak. The city proclaimed this past Monday as Indigenous Peoples’ Day. In soccer, the PHS girls played to a scoreless tie at home against Newport, while the boys lost to the Cubs on the road. And we have the latest in the Mount Union Stories series. — Brad Fuqua, Publisher/Editor
