VOLUME 7, NUMBER 120
Saturday, May 30, 2026

Good morning, Philomath.

I sat down with John Eveland yesterday to talk about the decision to sell Gathering Together Farm, the longtime organic vegetable operation that also includes a popular restaurant. I checked the May 19 election results with the latest update scheduled for yesterday and the proposed psilocybin ban in Philomath is now failing by 15 votes. In my Three Things column, I wrote the latest on the city’s Fridays on 13th plans, peace poles that will be installed and Maxtivity’s Team Glory. I wrote a quick update on Philomath High’s Day 1 results at the state track and field meet with Cassidy Smart taking first in the 3,000. I’ll be headed down to Eugene today for coverage of Day 2. Diane Crocker has the latest PSSS column with a rundown of that group’s activities. Don’t forget, the historical society is having its 75th anniversary celebration at Philomath Museum from noon-6 p.m. today and sounds like a fun time. — Brad Fuqua, Publisher/Editor
