VOLUME 7, NUMBER 10
Tuesday, January 13, 2026

Good morning, Philomath.

The vote on city utility rate hikes took another turn last night with the mayor and councilors preferring to have hard numbers on the cost of the water treatment plant construction before moving forward. The PHS Hall of Fame’s 2026 inductees have been determined and tickets to the banquet are now available. In sports, we have reports from the weekend on boys basketball, swimming and girls wrestling. And the latest Philomath Police Log and Philomath Fire and Rescue Calls are now on the site. And a heads up — Sen. Jeff Merkley is scheduled to hold a town hall in Philomath at 3 p.m. Sunday. More to come on that later this week. — Brad Fuqua, Publisher/Editor
