VOLUME 6, NUMBER 272
Saturday, December 20, 2025

Good morning, Philomath.

The Parade of Lights is tonight at 6 p.m. and the weather looks promising. If you missed it, here’s a parade preview. In my weekend column, I write about the city’s support for Newport, giving blood for a shot at the Super Bowl and our mayor’s upcoming job change. Lots of sports yesterday and PHS fared well in them all with the boys basketball team beating North Bend, the girls defeating Eagle Point and the boys swim team taking first at the Sweet Home Invite. Plus, a dean’s list brief on Clara Stanley and the latest OSP Log. If you want to chat with city councilors, their monthly Councilor Coffee is this morning at Timber Towne. See you at the parade. — Brad Fuqua, Publisher/Editor
