Breaking: PHS senior Carrson Hirte placed fourth in the 100-yard backstroke and sixth in the 200-yard individual medley at this morning’s state swim meet in Beaverton. A link to a full story on the swim team’s performance will be posted in Sunday’s newsletter. And also, thanks to those who informed me in response to a question I included in yesterday’s newsletter about the last PHS student before Roman Padar to be named as a National Merit Scholarship finalist. That was Rhiannon Gudge in 2019.
