Thomas D. Mason, of Portland, who died yesterday, will be buried tomorrow in Newton cemetery. The funeral will be held at Conger’s funeral chapel. The hour of the funeral is not stated but probably in the afternoon.

Editor’s note: Family history information published online shows that Mr. Mason, whose full name was Thomas Deel Mason, was born Aug. 10, 1851, in Schuyler County, Illinois. He lived with his family in Kansas for several years before relocating to Oregon sometime before 1900. According to the 1900 census, he lived with his wife, Mary, and six children in Big Elk, Lincoln County, Oregon. By 1910, he was living with his wife, two daughters and his mother in Philomath at a residence on College Street. Thomas Mason and Mary Jane Marrs were married March 5, 1875, in Linn County, Kansas.
