Editor’s note: The obituary published in the Oregonian appears to be the more accurate with a correct spelling of the surname, details about living in Boring but dying at the home of her daughter in Philomath and a specific birth date. Mrs. Wolfe’s death certificate confirms that she was born April 21, 1853, in Massachusetts, the daughter of a Canadian-born father. She died Aug. 7, 1913, in Philomath and was buried at Mount Union Cemetery on Aug. 10, 1913.
