Mrs. Annie Jane Norton
Dies at Philomath

Mrs. Annie Jane Norton, whose parents were pioneers of Benton county, died last night at the home of her brother, O.B. Mulkey, at Philomath. She had been ill for some time, and for the past three months she and her husband, Warren Norton, had resided at the Mulkey home.
Mrs. Norton was the daughter of Thomas C. and Sarah Mulkey, among the earlier residents in this section of Oregon, and was born in Benton county June 15, 1879. She was married in this county and had spent her entire life here. Mrs. Norton is survived by her husband, two brothers, O.B. Mulkey of Philomath and N.H. Mulkey of Wren, and one sisters Mrs. A.M. Skaggs of Summit.
The funeral will be from the M.S. Bovee Co. funeral chapel at 2 o’clock Tuesday afternoon. Rev. W.A. Nichols of Philomath will officiate and interment will be in Newton cemetery.
