Albert T. Wilson, pioneer of Benton county, died yesterday, March 12, at the family home near Dayton, Oregon, where he had resided since leaving Corvallis several years ago. The body will be forwarded to Corvallis, arriving here this evening, and the funeral service will be conducted from Bovee’s parlors at 11 o’clock tomorrow, Friday morning, with Rev. C.P. Gates, of the Evangelical church, officiating. Burial will be in Newton cemetery, beside the grave of the late Mrs. Wilson, who passed away in 1899. He was sixty years of age.
Albert T. Wilson was born October 2, 1858, in Yolo county, California, and when ten years of age came to Oregon with his parents, settling in Benton county, where Mr. Wilson spent most of his life. He was married in 1880 to Miss Mary C. Tyler, and six children were born to this union, all of whom are living. They are Clarence D., of Monmouth; Ernest A., Estel P., Armel J., and Mrs. Otis Hewitt, all of Dayton, and Mrs. Carl Seeley, of Bickleton, Washington. With the exception of Mrs. Seeley, these will be in Corvallis tomorrow for the funeral. Deceased is also survived by a sister, Mrs. Rebecca Beal, of Corvallis, and two brothers, Ed. Wilson of Dayton, and Ira Rowe, of Tillamook. For many years, Mr. Wilson was a progressive farmer of the Mt. View neighborhood where he was held in the highest esteem by the citizens of that community.

Funeral Today — The remains of the late Albert T. Wilson, who passed away Wednesday evening at the family home near Dayton, arrived in Corvallis last evening, accompanied by members of the family, and the funeral was held at 11 o’clock this morning from Bovee’s chapel. Rev. Chester P. Gates, of the United Evangelical church, officiated and burial was in Newton cemetery. Mr. Wilson was a pioneer of Benton county and numerous old friends from Mt. View were present at the funeral this morning.
