Rev. Aaron W. Snepp, aged 70 years, died at Philomath Monday morning after a two weeks severe illness with heart disease. He leaves a wife and two children, one at Vancouver and another in Idaho. The funeral service will be held at two o’clock on Wednesday at the brick chapel in Philomath, Bishop Castle officiating. Undertaker Bovee will convey the remains to Newton cemetery for interment.

Editor’s note: Rev. Snepp was born in 1842 in Ohio, the son of Henry Snepp and Esther Shamp. According to his death certificate, the cause of death was pericarditis. Burial at Mount Union Cemetery occurred Sept. 17, 1913. He married Henrietta Carr in Etna, Indiana on April 19, 1864. They had two children — Clara, born in 1865, and Eva, born in 1872.
