The Philomath High School baseball team lost its third straight game with a 10-2 setback Thursday evening at Molalla.

The Warriors (4-6) are scheduled to host a doubleheader at Terry Stephenson Field on Saturday with games at 11 a.m. vs. Junction City (9-1) and 4 p.m. vs. Cascade Christian (7-1). The Tigers and Challengers are scheduled to play at 1:30 p.m.

In the loss to Molalla, the Warriors scored in the top of the first on a one-run double by Wylie Griffith. But the offense produced little the rest of the way with just three hits.

Philomath’s second run came in the sixth when Jacob Hernandez, who reached on a hit by pitch, scored on an error.

Philomath pitchers allowed just two hits but walked 14 batters in the loss. CK Kvidt went four innings and allowed two hits, six runs and eight walks with four strikeouts. Hernandez threw the last two innings and allowed no hits, four runs and six walks with four strikeouts.

Offensively, Griffith went 2 for 4 at the plate for the Warriors.

Molalla starter Kyler Dickerson went five innings and allowed three hits, one run and three walks with 11 strikeouts.
