The Linn-Benton Community College Board of Education approved a 4% tuition increase for the 2024-25 academic year during its meeting Wednesday evening. The increase will raise in-state tuition by $5.54 per credit hour and fees by $6.46 per credit hour.

“We understand that any change in tuition can be a concern for our students and their families,” LBCC board chair Kristin Adams said through a news release. “Our decision was made with careful thought as we strive to maintain a high-quality and accessible education. This increase is a necessary step to ensure that LBCC continues to offer the exceptional education that our students deserve.”

The new tuition rates will take effect for students registering for summer classes, which begin June 24. In-state tuition goes up from $138.50 to $144.04 per credit hour, out-of-state tuition from $321.92 to $334.80 per credit hour and international tuition from $392.85 to $408.56 per credit hour.
