FRIDAY, DEC. 8

• 12:57 a.m. — Firefighters extinguished a fire at Interfor’s sawmill on Industrial Way. Fire and Rescue responded with an engine and three personnel, another fire apparatus with two personnel and two chief officers. See separate story.

Other calls: Emergency medical services responded to calls at 2:46 p.m. in the 3000 block of Main Street; 6:57 p.m. as part of mutual aid on Highway 20 near milepost 31 in Lincoln County; and 11:16 p.m. in the 23000 block of Labare Road.

SATURDAY, DEC. 9

• 3:53 p.m. — Firefighters responded to a fuel spill in the 600 block of Applegate Street.

• 10:38 p.m. and 11:55 p.m. — Firefighters responded to power line issues near the intersection of North 19th Street and Main Street involving a short on a power pole. The power company was notified.

Other calls: Emergency medical services responded to calls at 6:05 a.m. in the 1600 block of Pioneer Street; 3:19 p.m. at Main Street and 20th Street; and 7:25 p.m. in the 1600 block of Pioneer Street.

SUNDAY, DEC. 10

• 12:26 p.m. — Emergency medical services responded to a single-vehicle crash near Highway 20 and Woods Creek Road. The driver and a passenger were transported to Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center. See separate story.

• 10:20 p.m. — Emergency medical services responded to a single-vehicle crash near Fern Road and Powder House Road. No injuries were reported. See separate story.

Other calls: Emergency medical services responded to calls at 9:33 a.m. in the 2000 block of Chapel Drive; and 10:21 a.m. in the 1200 block of Pioneer Street.

MONDAY, DEC. 11

• 5:45 a.m. — Firefighters responded to a fire alarm in the 700 block of South 16th Street.

Other calls: Emergency medical services responded to a call at 10:20 a.m. in the 1200 block of Pioneer Street.

TUESDAY, DEC. 12

• No calls.

WEDNESDAY, DEC. 13

• 10:53 a.m. — Firefighters responded to a fire alarm in the 2000 block of Chapel Drive.

• 11:25 a.m. — Firefighters responded to a structure fire at the William L. Finley National Wildlife Refuge with an engine crew of three, two 3,000-gallon water tenders and a chief officer. Known as the Cabell Lodge, the historic structure was a complete loss. See separate story.

• 1:39 p.m. — Firefighters responded to a report of an illegal burn in the 3000 block of Main Street.

• 4:52 p.m. — Firefighters responded to a report of a small fire in the 1200 block of Main Street. A small smoldering fire was extinguished in a dumpster behind a business but well away from the building.

Other calls: Emergency medical services responded to a call at 12:42 p.m. in the 200 block of North 16th Lane.

THURSDAY, DEC. 14

• 7:29 a.m. — Emergency medical services responded to an e-bike rider who reportedly suffered injuries at West Hills Road/Reservoir Road. Fire and Rescue reported that the e-bike hit a garbage can on the side of the road and crashed into a ditch. The rider suffered minor injuries and was transported via private vehicle to a medical facility for evaluation.

• 4:11 p.m. — Firefighters responded to a fire alarm in the 400 block of South 19th Street.
