FRIDAY, JAN. 16
• 4:35 p.m. — Emergency medical services responded to a two-vehicle crash at Main Street and North 13th Street. The vehicle’s occupants were assessed and further treatment was declined. Fire and Rescue’s response included five personnel in an engine and a command vehicle. Fire crews helped with the cleanup of fluid that had spilled onto the ground.
SATURDAY, JAN. 17
• 7:55 p.m. — Firefighters responded to the activation of a fire alarm in the 200 block of North Seventh Street.
Other calls: Emergency medical services responded to calls at 1:05 a.m. (Main Street) and 2:28 a.m. (Main Street) and 6:57 p.m. (Marys River Estates Road).
SUNDAY, JAN. 18
• No calls of public significance reported.

MONDAY, JAN. 19
• 1:16 p.m. — Emergency medical services responded to a motorcycle crash on Fern Road near Powder House Road. The crash occurred when the operator, a 64-year-old Eugene man, lost control on an icy curve in the road. The man and his passenger, a 61-year-old Eugene woman, were transported to Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center with injuries. Fire and Rescue’s response included 10 personnel in an engine, rescue vehicle, light brush truck and a command vehicle. The Corvallis Fire Department provided ambulance services.
Other calls: Emergency medical services responded to calls at 12:06 a.m. (Applegate Street) and 12:30 p.m. (Applegate Street).
TUESDAY, JAN. 20

WEDNESDAY, JAN. 21
• 6:02 a.m. — Firefighters responded to the activation of a fire alarm in the 200 block of South 17th Street.
• 8:58 a.m. — Emergency medical services responded to a single-vehicle crash on Maxfield Creek Road involving a vehicle that went off the road in icy conditions. The driver, an 84-year-old Newport man, and passenger, an 83-year-old Newport woman, were assessed and not transported to the hospital. Fire and Rescue’s response included five personnel in an engine and a command vehicle.
Other calls: Emergency medical services responded to a call at 4:44 p.m. (North 19th Street).
THURSDAY, JAN. 22
• 1:02 p.m. — Emergency medical services responded to a vehicle-pedestrian crash at the intersection of Highway 34 and Fish Hatchery Road in the Alsea Rural Fire Protection District. Fire and Rescue provided personnel to assist the Corvallis Fire Department’s ambulance response. The Benton County Sheriff’s Office investigated the crash.
• 3:08 p.m. — Firefighters responded to a request to go on standby at the Benton County Fairgrounds while the Corvallis Fire Department responded to a structure fire. Fire and Rescue’s response included four personnel in an engine. Corvallis Fire canceled the mutual aid request just prior to Philomath’s arrival.
