A 49-year-old Philomath woman riding an electric bicycle was transported to the hospital Friday afternoon following a collision with a vehicle near Main Street and South 11th Street in Philomath.

Philomath Fire and Rescue responded to the incident at 4:22 p.m. Jan. 2.

According to the Benton County Sheriff’s Office, the woman was riding an e-bike on the sidewalk and “T-boned a car pulling into its driveway.”

The Corvallis Fire Department transported the woman to the hospital. The extent of injuries were not reported. The e-bike operator was cited for unsafe operation of a bicycle, BCSO reported.

The vehicle involved in the collision sustained minor damage to its right side and right front, officials said.
