The Philomath Inclusivity Committee will hold its first meeting in three months at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at City Hall with plans to focus on organizational tasks, goals and objectives.
The meeting agenda centers on orienting committee members and establishing operating procedures for the year ahead. A significant portion of the meeting will be devoted to “Inclusivity Committee 101,” providing members with an overview of how the committee functions and reviewing key documents that guide its work.
Selection of a committee chair will be postponed until the February meeting to allow for a fully appointed committee, according to the agenda.
The committee will begin preliminary discussions about a Women’s History Month proclamation. The proclamation would be finalized at the February meeting and presented to the City Council for approval. Women’s History Month occurs in March each year.In addition to the in-person meeting at City Hall, the proceedings can be viewed through the city’s YouTube channel.
