The Philomath Museum will host a Stuffed Animal Sleepover on Thursday, Feb. 12, offering local children a chance to let their favorite plush companions experience a night at the museum.
The event begins at 10:30 a.m. with an interactive story time featuring songs, crafts and books about animals. Children and their stuffed animals are invited to participate in the program at the museum, located at 1101 Main St.
After story time, children can choose to leave their stuffed animals behind for an overnight adventure at the museum. Museum staff will document the animals’ nighttime activities and provide families with photos of their adventures.
Families can pick up their stuffed animals and photos the following day, Friday, Feb. 13, during regular museum hours from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times during the Thursday morning program. Registration is required for each adult and child participating in the event.
The Stuffed Animal Sleepover is organized by the Benton County Historical Society, which operates both the Philomath Museum and the Corvallis Museum. To register for the event, visit bentoncountymuseums.org/events/stuffed-animal-sleepover.
