Benton County Public Works will temporarily close a section of Cardwell Hill Drive on Monday, Jan. 13, to conduct cleanup and road maintenance work, officials said.

The closure will affect the 0.8-mile stretch between the west gate and the slide repair construction zone. All pedestrian, bicycle and vehicle traffic will be prohibited during the closure.

County officials said no bypass route will be available and there will be no access to the trail system from the west gate while work is underway.

Motorists and recreational users are advised to plan ahead and avoid the area during the closure.

The closure is related to ongoing slide repair efforts in the area.
